For example: Why are Republicans, for the most part, slamming McNamee, and Democrats, mostly, critical of Clemens? Is this really a partisan issue? And shouldn't the congresstypes be asking questions to gain some insight, not just to make their preconceived points?
Why is Congress even bothering with this in the first place? It's easier than, like, war and recession and all that?
And if we are to assume that Clemens is lying to Congress (because, come ON...), then what's with him throwing his wife under the bus about her HGH use?
Arielle, it's just a ridiculous spectacle as far as I can tell - accomplishing absolutely nothing. I can't understand it either - Why does Congress care if some jock lied about drug use? But when it comes to somthing like baseball's long-standing anti-trust exemption, they won't touch that.
Bird - I hope Yo-Han knows how to beat the Phillies in September!
Plus, the Mets need to hit the ball in September and make less errors.
As for Clemens, what annoyed me is the Congressman. Schmucks that no one has ever heard of, playing it up to the cameras to look like tough guys. It was an embarrassment to those elected officials as well as far as I'm concerned.
