How come the version on my ipod (from the CDs you gave me) of "Detachable Penis" is by the Flaming Lips? Did they cover it? Are Flaming Lips and King Missile somehow related (your link does not mention anything, but lists other bands often credited with the song)?
I also remember this song being on Beavis and Butthead (for obvious reasons) and I'm pretty sure it was the Flaming Lips version.
My favorite part of that story was the quote, "Dr. Greg Bales, associate professor of urology at the University of Chicago, said severed penises are uncommon..."
No shit! Did that really need to be cited? Without that jewel of journalism in there, would some readers have imagined something along the lines of...
"Dr. Greg Bales, associate professor of urology at the University of Chicago, said severed penises are becoming quite common, a pandemic sweeping across the nation, blind to race, age, or even reason. You could be next."

Like much of the stuff I've found online through file-sharing, this song was mislabled as a Lips song.
